ORDER
The petitioner has filed this petition, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to conduct detailed enquiry into the illegal poaching committed by the 6th respondent and his friends and take necessary action against them in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the police personnel attached to Thirukurungudi Police Station went inside the reserved forest along with one accused person and took a photo, which is widely published in the social media. In this regard, the petitioner for taking action against them made a representations dated 18.02.2019 and 19.02.2019. But so far, no action was taken on the representations of the petitioner. Hence, he approached this Court by filing this writ petition. 4.He would further submit that if the said representations are directed to be considered by the respondents 1 to 5, the petitioner would be satisfied.
5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the petitioner's representations will be considered and necessary orders will be passed thereon, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents 1 to 5 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representations of the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
