The petitioner seeks production of the person of her son by name Manishkumar, aged about 25 years, who is said to be missing from 16.02.2022.

2. According to the petitioner, her son was employed in Chennai. He lost his job due to lock down and he was staying in the village. She would claim that she had lodged a complaint with the respondent police.

3. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, upon instructions, would submit that the detenu is involved in a case of chain snatching in Crime No.92 of 2022 registered by the respondent police. H.C.P.(MD) No.464 of 2022 submit that the police are taking all steps to secure him and produce before the learned Jurisdictional Magistrate.
