O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to issue joint patta in our favour in respect of the land comprised in S.No.170/7 of Appan Thiurpathi Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2025 as early as possible. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property in Survey No. 170/7 was bequeathed by the petitioner's aunt in favor of the petitioner and his brother through an unregistered Will dated 08.02.1984. It was further stated that the petitioner's aunt had no children and passed away on 12.08.1985. Based on the said unregistered Will, the petitioner and his brother 2/5

have been in possession and enjoyment of the property. Therefore, the petitioner is seeking issuance of a joint patta.

3. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent/Tahsildar to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the petitioner is instructed to submit the legal heir certificate of the deceased who executed the unregistered Will.
