Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant necessary permission for erecting bronze statue of freedom fighter Immanuel Sekaran in the private land of the petitioner Sangam comprised in S.No.335/9A, Sellur Village, Muthukulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, within the time limit fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the petition mentioned application for erection of the bronze statue of freedom fighter Immanuel Sekaran will be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall be given an opportunity of personal hearing by the first respondent before passing such orders.

2. The Writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
