ORDER

The petitioner has made a representation to the respondent on 20.04.2018, seeking permission and give police protection to conduct the "Adal Padal Programme to be held on 30.04.2018 at 07.00 P.M. To 11.00 P.M. In the eve of "Sri Sangaiah Thirukovil Pongal Festival, at A.Thottiapatti Village Auditorium, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 20.04.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting "Adal Padal Programme to be held on 30.04.2018 at 07.00 P.M. To 11.00 P.M. In the eve of "Sri Sangaiah Thirukovil Pongal Festival, at A.Thottiapatti Village Auditorium, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the District Collector has changed the programme on 01.05.2018 as the Meenakshi Amman Thirukovil Thiruvizha is to be held on 30.04.2018. Now, the petitioner is ready to conduct the programme on 01.05.2018. 5.The learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that if the petitioner makes a fresh representation before the second respondent, the same will be considered in the light of the order passed by this Court in WP (MD)No.7043 of 2018 on 02.04.2018.

6.Considering the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, it is open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the second respondent on or before 26.04.2018. If any such representation is received, the respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 29.04.2018, by taking note of the order passed by this Court in WP (MD)No.7043 of 2018 dated 02.04.2018.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
