Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to count the 7 years service as librarian along with 3 years service of transferable post for disbursing selection grade to the post of Junior Assistant from 03.07.2003 and pay special grade pay from 03.07.2013 on completion of total period of 20 years in the same post in the light of G.O.Ms.No.68 dated 23.01.1986 and consequential G.O.Ms.No.210 dated 11.03.1987. ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to count the 7 years service as librarian along with 3

years service of transferable post for disbursing selection grade to the post of Junior Assistant from 03.07.2003 and pay special grade pay from 03.07.2013 on completion of total period of 20 years in the same post in the light of G.O.Ms.No.68 dated 23.01.1986 and consequential G.O.Ms.No.210 dated 11.03.1987.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. Though the prayer in the writ petition is for a larger relief, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner confines the same for considering the representation of the petitioner dated 29.10.2018 by the respondents within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited prayer as now sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the petitioner's case, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.10.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
