PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2017 with regard to appointing her Anganwadi worker at Palkulam Anganwadi Centre, Kalaiyarkovil Union, Sivagangai District in view of the selection list issued by the 1st respondent vide proceedings in Se.Mu.Na.Ka.No.1219/A1/2017, dated Nil.09.2017 within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 27.09.2017 with regard to appointment of the petitioner as Anganwadi worker at Palkulam Anganwadi Centre, Kalaiyarkovil Union, Sivagangai District in view of the selection list issued by the first respondent vide proceedings in Se.Mu.Na.Ka.No.1219/A1/2017, dated Nil.09.2017 within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.B.S.Meltiue, learned counsel, appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had been selected for appointment to the post of Ankanwadi Worker at Palkulam Anganwadi Centre, Kalaiyarkovil Union, Sivagangai District and a proceedings to that effect including other selected persons had been issued by the first respondent vide proceedings No.Se.Mu.Na.Ka.No.1219/A1/2017 on Nil.09.2017.

However, in spite of said selection list was issued, so far, the petitioner has not been appointed and in this regard the petitioner had given a representation, dated 27.09.2017 to the respondents. However, no order was forthcoming so far appointing the petitioner as Ankanwadi Worker. Therefore, the learned counsel would submit that if the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.09.2017 is directed to be considered and orders to that effect is directed to be passed, the petitioner would be satisfied. 4.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who would submit that in view of some Court proceedings, though the selection had been made appointment could not have been given. At any rate, the request of the petitioner, dated 17.09.2017 would be considered by the first respondent and orders to that effect would be passed.

5.Considering the said submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:- "that the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.09.2017 in the light of the selection list of candidates published on Nil.09.2017 by the first respondent regarding appointment of Anakanwadi Worker and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." No costs.
