Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner has been enjoying electricity connection for the petition mentioned house for more than 25 years. Since he wanted to rebuild his house, at his instance, the supply was temporarily disconnected. After the house construction was completed, the petitioner sought restoration. It appears that on account of the objections raised from the neighbours certain issues have arisen. That has necessitated the filing of this writ petition. 3.I am of the view that when the writ petitioner was in enjoyment of electricity connection for more than two decades, the same cannot be suspended merely at the instance of third party objectors. The supply was temporarily disconnected only at the instance of the petitioner. Now the house construction is over. He wants the earlier connection to be restored.

4.The respondents are therefore, directed to restore the electricity connection to the petition mentioned house forthwith and without any delay, ofcourse, on payment of reconnection charges and on completion of other formalities. If the respondents encounter any resistance, the respondents are at liberty to take the assistance of the jurisdictional police. If such a request is made, the jurisdictional police is directed to extend police protection for effecting restoration.
