Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to extend the lease granted to the petitioner by the fourth respondent for the period between 01.04.2021 to 31.03.2024 for an another period of 8 months in the light of G.O.(D)No. 337, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department dated 16.06.2023 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period stipulated time by this Court. ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner was granted license to collect charges from the users of the municipal cycle parking stand. The case of the petitioner is that even though he has paid full license fee for all the three years, on account of Covid pandemic, the fruits of license could not be 2/4

fully enjoyed. He therefore seeks corresponding extension of the lease period. This is a call which the authority must take. The Court cannot give any definite direction.

3.The fourth respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's request and pass an appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
