(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Seeking compensation of Rs.1,00,000/- to all the farmers due to the absence of water from Cauvery River in Thanjavur District, for the cultivating year 2016-2017, this writ petition is filed. 2.The prayer sought for cannot be granted for more than one reason. The petitioner being a practising lawyer has come forward to file this petition on behalf of the farmers. The Writ Petition has been filed on the ground that not withstanding the orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and Cavery Tribunal water has not been opened for cultivation. It is not on the fault of the respondent. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner.

3.In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
