[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant permission to conduct the meeting and to provide adequate police protection on 01.05.2018 from 06.00 p.m to 10.00 p.m, at Pattamarathankovil Thidal, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the representation dated 18.04.2018.

2. The petitioner, who is a resident of Ambalavanenthal Post, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, submitted a representation dated 18.04.2018 to the third respondent seeking permission to conduct a public meeting at Pattamarathankovil Thidal, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District, which, till date, remains unanswered.

3. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents, on instructions, informs that the representation of the petitioner dated 18.04.2018 will be considered by the third respondent on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 29.04.2018 and the outcome of the representation of the petitioner shall be intimated to him.
