ORDER

Seeking to direct the respondents to provide proper police protection to the petitioner and her children on the basis of the representation dated 29.01.2026., this criminal original petition is filed.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the owner in possession and title with respect to the property in S.F.No.211/29 corresponding Patta No.732 and S.F.No. 214/5 corresponding to S.F.No.739 in Kurayur Bit-II, Kallakkudi Taluk, Madurai District. The petitioner being a landlord, had taken necessary steps to improve the proper house situated in the said properties, which was hindered by the tenants who are dwelling there and in this regard, the petitioner has sent his representation to the respondent police seeking police protection to enable him to carry out and complete repair works in the said houses. However, since there is no action, this criminal original petition is filed. 2/5

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) submitted that the petitioner had sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 21.09.2025 and he has not sent any representation to the jurisdictional police.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. In this regard, the petitioner is directed to give a representation to the 3rd respondent in person. On receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to summon the petitioner as well as the tenants under Section 64 BNSS and conduct an enquiry and thereafter, if the situation warrants, the 3rd respondent police is directed to afford necessary police protection, on payment of necessary fees in terms of G.O(Ms)No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019. 3/5

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
