Writ Petition is filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal vide A.P.No.9 of 2026 filed as against the order of the 2nd respondent dated 12.09.2025 in O.A.No.13 of 2008 within the time frame fixed by this Court and consequently direct the respondents to maintain status quo regarding the religious practice in A/m.Muthumari Amman and Mudali Vinayagar Temple, Uthukuli Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Tiruchirapalli District.

ORDER

The innocuous relief that is prayed for in the writ petition is to dispose of the A.P.No.9 of 2026 pending on the file of the first respondent as against the order of the 2nd respondent dated 12.09.2025 in O.A.No.13 of 2008.

2.When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that if ample time is granted, the appeal will be disposed of. 3.Mr.V.Muthukamatchi, learned counsel takes notice for the third and fourth respondents.

4.In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:

(i)A.P.No.9 of 2026 shall be disposed of as expeditiously as possible in any event, not later than four months from the date of receipt of web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. It is needless to mention that the parties will be entitled to move any interim petition if admissible in accordance with law.
