O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for issuing a direction to the first respondent to give necessary direction to the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.33 of 2014 on the file of the second respondent within the time stipulated by this court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint to the second respondent against her husband, in crime No.33 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 355, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. It is further stated that the complaint was lodged on 06.07.2014 and there was no further progress. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned additional public prosecutor on instructions submitted that, the investigation is almost completed and that the final report is likely to be filed within four weeks.

5. Considering the facts and the submission of the learned additional public prosecutor, this Court is inclined to pass the following directions:

The second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.33 of 2014 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
