ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to promote the petitioner as Director of Physical Education in the third respondent College in terms of Rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Educational Service, Ad-hoc Rules framed in G.O.Ms.No.187, Higher Education Department, dated 07.08.2018 and by considering his representation, dated 28.01.2019 within the period stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.Though the prayer made in the Writ Petition is for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner confines the same to the extent of seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.01.2019, on merits, for which, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.

4.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
