O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation in a proper manner in Crime No. 451 of 2024 pending on the file of the respondent and file final report.

2.According to the petitioner, he is the defacto complainant and based on his complaint the FIR in Crime No. 451 of 2024 was registered for the offence under Section 420 IPC and so far final report has not been filed. Even prior to the registration of FIR, the accused approached this Court seeking anticipatory bail and the matter was referred to mediation centre attached to his Bench, where the accused has agreed to repay a sum of Rs.95 Lakhs in three installment and thereafter he has not paid the said amount. Therefore, the petitioner approached the concerned police for registration of FIR. Hence the present FIR has been registered and now filed this petition seeking speedy investigation. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that in this case, more than a sum of Rs. 1 crore is involved and thereby, the matter has to be investigated by the 2/5

District Crime Branch, Dindigul. Therefore, the Superintendent of Police, Dindigul District has to transfer the case from the respondent police to the District Crime Branch, Dindigul and already the respondent police also sent a request to the Superintendent of Police. Now, the Superintendent of Police has to pass appropriate orders. 4.Since the case is pending from 15.08.2024, the Superintendent of Police, Dindigul is directed to take steps to transfer the case and to entrust the same to the competent officer within a period of fifteen days from the date of this order and after receipt of the entire files, the new investigation officer have to complete the investigation as early as possible, preferably within a period of three months, thereon. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
