Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is a devotee of Sri Muthumariamman and Sri Karuppasamy Temple situated at Balarenganathapuram Village. They proposed to conduct temple festival from 05.04.2018 till 07.04.2019. Since the election code of conduct has come into force, the permission from the respondent has to be obtained. The respondent has given permission for conducting certain programs while denying permission for conducting Natiyanjali and Annadhanam.

Aggrieved by the partial rejection of the request, this writ petition has been filed.

3.I am of the view that the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that only Barathanatiaym performance is going to be conducted. He would further state that feeding the devotees and poor is a traditional feature. I am of the view that there is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

no justification for denying the permission for conducting Natiyanjali and Annadhanam. Therefore, insofar as the rejection on the request of the petitioner on these aspects, the impugned order is quashed. The writ petition is allowed. No costs.
