ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to settle the petitioner's GPF missing credit amount of Rs.22,600/- with interest to the petitioner.
2.Heard Mr.G.Ramanathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mr.P.Gunasekaran, learned counsel, who takes notice for the first respondent and Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 2 to 5. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the stage of admission itself.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he was retired from service on 31.05.2014, the missing credit G.P.F amount, which was recovered from his salary, was not granted to the petitioner. Hence, he made a representation, dated 30.10.2017 to the respondents. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 to 5 submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and appropriate orders will be passed, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.
10.2017 seeking to settle the G.P.F missing credit amount and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
