Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide the petitioner duty at once and consequently direct them to treat the period from 08.02.2021 till the date of joining duty as duty period with all benefits in the light of his representation dated 04.03.2021, on the file of the first respondent.

*********** By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as a Conductor. The petitioner applied for medical leave on 08.02.2021, for 15 days on account of his illness. Thereafter, when the petitioner returned to duty on 23.02.2021, the second respondent did not allow the petitioner to join duty for the reason that the petitioner is involved in a case in Cr.No.70/2020 u/s. 498(a), 406 IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. Thus, he made a representation to the first respondent in this regard on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.[MD]No.6883 of 2021 04.03.2021. Since, the same is pending consideration, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition. 3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.03.2021. 4.In view of the above, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.03.2021, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
