PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for the records relating to the proceedings in S.T.C.No.113 of 2022 on the file of the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Thirumayam and quash the same.

2. It is the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioners that the offences mentioned in the First Information Report alleged to have taken place during covid-19 lockdown period.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that during covid19 lock down period, the Petitioners herein alleged to have indulged in Jallikattu competition. After investigation charge sheet has been laid before the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, 2/5

Thirumayam and the same has been taken cognizance in STC No.113 of 2022.

4. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner also relied on the earlier orders passed by this Court regarding covid-19 lockdown violation, wherein charge sheet and First Information Report were quashed.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the Government of Tamil Nadu had issued G.O.(MS) No.176, Home(CourtsIV) Department dated 05.04.2022 for withdrawing the cases registered against alleged violations of Standard Covid- 19 protocols.

6. In the light of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in STC No.113 of 2022 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, is hereby quashed.
