ORDER

Seeking for a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 06.03.2018 for appointment on

compassionate ground, the present writ petition came to be filed. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that his father was working as a Mazdoor in the respondent department and while he was in service, he died on 22.12.2014. Seeking compassionate appointment, the petitioner approached the respondents with all necessary documents, by way of representation, dated 06.03.2018. Since the respondents have not considered the same, he approached this Court with the present writ petition for the above prayer. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's application would be considered on merits within the time frame as may be fixed by this court.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going in to the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.This writ petition is dispose of, on the above terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
