ORDER

Seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal, dated 04.09.2015 in Ref.No.017447/423/b2/2015, dated 18.11.2015, which was forwarded by the second respondent, the present writ petition came to be filed.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that he is working as a Foreman Grade-I in the respondent department. without cumulative effect, he made an appeal before the second respondent on 12.02.2015 and the same was dismissed, against which, before the first respondent, he made a further appeal on 18.11.2015, which is kept pending without any disposal, for all these years. This has necessitated the filing of this writ petition. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's appeal would be disposed of on merits, within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

5.Under such facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner, dated 18.11.2015 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
