ORDER

Seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application, dated 05.10.2006, for compassionate appointment in favour of the petitioner's son, the present writ petition is filed.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that her husband died on 10.08.2005, while working as Technical Instructor in the respondent department. Hence, she made a representation to the respondents, dated 05.10.2006 for appointment on compassionate ground to her younger son with all necessary documents. However, the respondents are keeping quiet on the representation of the petitioner for the past 13 years. Hence, the present writ petition came to be instituted.

on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered by the respondents on merits. 5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going in to the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 05.10.2006, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
