ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2019 seeking issuance of patta within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 1/3

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Angappan, learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the land measuring to an extent of 8 acres and 20 cents in S.F.No.335/1-C and S.F.No.335/1-B situated in Javathupatti Village, Ottanchathiram in Dindigul District belongs to the petitioner and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the said property. He further submitted that in respect of the land in S.F.No.335/1C patta was issued to the petitioner bearing patta No.351 in the year 1998. In the meantime, the name of one Muthappa Gounder, S/o.Periyasamy was wrongly included in the said patta bearing No.351. Therefore, the petitioner has made representation on 20.11.2019 before the respondents seeking to remove the name of the said Muthappa Gounder, S/o.Periyasamy. Since the said representation has not been disposed of so far, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 20.11.2019, submitted by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law, after hearing the person in whose name also the patta stands, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, preferably before 31st March, 2021.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
