4.Baskaran : Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to remove the encroachment in the burial ground situated in S.No.740 (Government Poramboke) Paganatham Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District based on the representation of the petitioner dated 29.10.2020 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner wants removal of encroachment made in the burial ground.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader, after getting instructions from the respondent No.3, submitted that the allegations are true. But the competent authority to take action is the Block Development Officer, Vedasandur.

3. In such view of the matter, we direct the Block Development Officer, Vedasandur, to take appropriate action to remove the encroachment within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
