Waqf, Pattukottai in the light of the judgement made in WP(MD) 22941 of 2023 and elect its office bearers by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.03.2024 within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner, who is the member of Moideen Andavar Mosque Waqf, Pattukottai with a grievance that the election for the Waqf has not been conducted has submitted a representation to the respondents on 01.03.2024 and filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct the election in the light of the order passed by this Court in WP(MD) No.22941 of 2023, dated 01.03.2024.

2.Today (12.03.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for admission, Mr.D.S.Haroon Rasheed, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents and submits that steps are being taken to conduct the election of Moideen Andavar Mosque Waqf, Pattukottai. In view 2/5

of the intervening Ramzan festival, the election has not been conducted and election would be conducted after the Ramzan period is over as per the earlier order of this Court in WP(MD) No.22941 of 2023, dated 25.09.2023.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this writ petition is closed. No costs. 12.03.2024 NCC: Yes/No Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes vrn 3/5
