ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondent.

2.The petitioner was issued with a passport. The passport is still valid. But then, the respondent came to know that the petitioner was involved in some criminal cases. Therefore, the petitioner was asked to surrender the passport. The petitioner complied with the said demand. The passport is now in the custody of the respondent.

3.It is seen that the criminal cases are pending only at the First Information Report stage. Therefore, the respondent is directed to return the petitioner's passport forthwith and without any delay.
