A case in Crime No.142 of 2023, which has been registered in the year 2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 143, 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC has not been charge sheeted for the past one year. 1/4

Therefore, the petitioner, who is the Defacto complainant in the above Crime number has approached this Court, seeking a direction to file a final report within a stipulated period.

2.Today (04.06.2024), when this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for consideration, Mr.M.Veerenthiran, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the respondent police seeks one month time to file a final report in Crime No.142 of 2023. 3.If the Investigating Agency could not file a final report for the simple offences of this nature, it is not known, how they will file a final report for the heinous offences. The respondent is directed to file a final report in Crime No.142 of 2023 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
