ORDER
Seeking a direction to the first respondent for early disposal of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 14.12.2018, this writ petition has been filed.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
3.The case of the petitioner is that while he was serving as a Village Assistant at Elanthapatti Village, Trichy District, he was placed under suspension for the involvement in a criminal case. Subsequently, a charge memo was issued by the second respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner's grievance on reinstatement into service was rejected by the second respondent. Challenging the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent on 14.12.2018 and the same is pending without getting disposal. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

also having regard to the fact that the appeal is said to be pending from the year 2018, this Court, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 14.12.2018, if not already disposed, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eights weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
