Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the petitioner's retirement benefits such as arrears of monthly pension from 01.08.2016 Provident Fund of Rs.6,42,649/- and Gratuity of Rs.5,81,380 based on his representation dated 10.02.2019 with reasonable rate of interest within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondents for disbursement of terminal benefits, the petitioner is before this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

pension, provident fund, gratuity etc., Seeking such benefits, he made a representation dated 10.02.2019 to the respondents. Since the same has not been considered so far, this writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.02.2019 with regard to retirement benefits and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
