O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose of the Revision Petition dated 10.02.2026, filed by the petitioner under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the property in Survey No. 501/13B, measuring an extent of 16.34 Ares (40.38 Cents), belongs to the petitioner, who inherited the same by way of Sale Deed and Settlement Page No. 2 of 5

Deed executed in three parts. However, in the revenue records, the extent has been wrongly mentioned as 11.25 Ares (27.79 Cents). Therefore, the petitioner filed a Revision Petition dated 10.02.2026 under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 before the second respondent, and the same has been kept pending. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's revision petition dated 10.02.2026 would be disposed of by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's revision petition dated 10.02.2026 on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The revision petition shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be Page No. 3 of 5

affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs.
