ORDER

Invoking the provisions of Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has approached this Court with this Civil Revision Petition, seeking a direction to the learned Principal District Judge, Kanniyakumari at Nagercoil to dispose of the petition in I.D.O.P.No.222 of 2012 along with I.D.O.P.No.451 of 2011 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a time, which may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.L.Jeen Felix, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the averments of the grounds of the Civil Revision Petition.

3. It appears that the respondent herein had filed a petition in I.D.O.P.No.451 of 2011 for restitution of conjugal rights. In the mean time, the revision petitioner herein had filed a petition in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ I.D.O.P.No.222 of 2012 for dissolution of marriage and the same had been unnecessarily and periodically adjourned without assigning any

valid reason and therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of this Civil Revision Petition.

4. Having been taken into consideration of the related facts and circumstances, this Court is of view that in the interest of Justice it may be expedient to issue a direction to the trial Court, as sought for by the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed. The learned Principal District Judge, Kanniyakumari at Nagercoil is hereby directed to dispose of the matrimonial dispute in I.D.O.P.No.222 of 2012 along with the petition in I.D.O.P.No.451 of 2011 within a specified period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without loss of further time.
