This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the fifth respondent to inspect the lands comprised Survey Nos. 268/2B3, 268/1A, 268/1C, 268/1B and 267/2A situated at Kapiliyapatti Village, Oddanchatram Taluk, Dindigul District, and consequently to rectify the erroneous sub-division and FMB entries and issue patta in the petitioner's favour by considering his representation dated 20.01.2026.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.
3. It is informed that though a notification was issued for acquisition of the land for the purpose of laying a State Highway, the road has not been laid on the petitioner's land.
4. In response,the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the matter is pending before the fourth respondent and that the fourth respondent will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. .
5. In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2026 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner and any other persons who may be affected and considering any objections submitted by them. The fourth respondent shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise 3/6
shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
