Prayer in CRL OP(MD)No.5135 of 2020 :- This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the learned Principal Sessions Judge Cum PCR Court, Pudukkottai to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender in Crime No. 121 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police.
ORDER:- This Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.M.Ramu, Advocate for the Petitioners and of Mr.V.Neelakandan, Additional Public Prosecutor, for the respondents, this Court made the following order:
The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Principal Sessions Judge cum PCR Court, Pudukkottai to consider the petitioners' bail application on the same day of their surrender in Cr.No.121 of 2019 and this Court by order dated 24.03.2020 passed an order with a direction to the petitioners to surrender before the trial Court within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

due to Covid-19 pandemic lockdown period, they were not able to arrange sureties for their appearance before the Court below, within the stipulated time. Hence, the petitioners have come before this Court with this present Criminal Miscellaeneous Petition.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking into account the reason stated by the petitioners, time is extended till 22.12.2020. The petitioners are directed to appear before the trial Court on or before 22.12.2020 for surrender, without fail.
4.Accordingly, this petition is allowed.
