ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to give necessary police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner dated 21.06.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 and 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the complaint was sent by post to the Inspector of police, Ambilikkai Police Station, Dindigul, and it has been returned on the ground that no Inspector of Police is available in that particular police station. However, the endorsement does not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

reflect that no Inspector of Police is available, it only states that no post of Inspector of Police is available for that station.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the officer available is only the Sub Inspector of Police, who has been suo motu impleaded as third respondent, and the petitioner may send the complaint to the Sub Inspector of Police, instead of Inspector of Police.

5. Under such circumstances, it is suffice to point out that the Sub Inspector of Police, the third respondent herein, shall take the responsibility of receiving the complaint. On receipt of the complaint, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider and take action on the said complaint in accordance with law, within a period of two week from the date of receipt of the complaint. The petitioner is directed to send a fresh copy of the complaint to the Sub Inspector of Police, Ambilikkai Police Station, Dindigul District.

6. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
