ORDER

Invoking the provisions of Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have approached this Court with this Civil Revision Petition, seeking a direction to the learned District Munsif, Thanjavur to dispose of O.S.No.522 of 2008 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a time, which may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.R.J.Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and perused the averments of the grounds of the Civil Revision Petition.

3. As it is revealed from the records that the suit is of the year 2008. As submitted by Mr.R.J.Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, still the suit is pending in the stage of framing of additional issues. It is highly deplorable and since the suit is pending for the past seven years, it is to be disposed of after giving priority by considering its long pending nature.

Accordingly, the learned District Munsif, Thanjavur is hereby directed to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.522 of 2008 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order without loss of further time. He shall also file a report about the disposal of the suit to the office of the Registry without fail. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
