Respondents Prayer:- Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to secure and produce the person or body of the detenu, the petitioner's wife Priya, W/o.Maheswaran, aged 28 years and the petitioner's minor female child Anushree, D/o.Maheswaran, aged 1-1/2 years before this Court, illegally detained by the third to fifth respondents and set them at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to trace out and produce the detenu, namely, Priya and Anushree, who are said to be the wife and daughter of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is present and he has been identified by his counsel.

3. The second respondent viz., the Inspector of Police, Taluk Police Station, Pattukkottai has produced the detenu and they have been identified by the petitioner.

4. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the relief sought for in the Habeas Corpus Petition has become infructuous and therefore this Habeas Corpus Petition deserves to be dismissed.

5. In fine, this Habeas Corpus Petition deserves dismissal and accordingly is dismissed.
