This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent herein to implement the order passed by the second respondent in Na.Mu.A1/253/2024 dated 28.08.2024, in view of the representation dated 24.12.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the fourth respondent, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against him.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that without conducting any enquiry, the third respondent, on the application submitted by the fourth respondent, changed the patta and issued a joint patta including the names Page No. 2 of 5
of the petitioner and the fourth respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a revision before the second respondent and also filed a Writ Petition in W.P.(MD) No.28044 of 2023 before this Court. Pursuant to the order dated 28.11.2023 passed by this Court in the said Writ Petition, directing the authorities to dispose of the petitioner's revision, the second respondent passed an order dated 28.08.2024 in Na.Mu.A1/253/2024, cancelling the joint patta and directing restoration of the patta in the name of Natarajan. However, the third respondent has not implemented the said order despite the petitioner having submitted a representation dated 24.12.2025. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that the order of the second respondent would be implemented by the third respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.
5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third to implement the order of the second respondent Page No. 3 of 5
within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
