ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to forbear the respondent Nos.1 to 4 from granting permission to the 5th respondent's patta land in Survey No. 309/1A in Patta No.5140 situated at Vannankundu, Keezhakarai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District to swift and bury the body by on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 01.03.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 4.

3. The petitioner preferred a representation dated 01.03.2024 to the respondents 1 to 4 not to grant any permission to the 5th respondent for shifting and burying of the body. However, since the said representation 2/5

is pending so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate would fairly submit that the representation would be disposed of within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the said submission, without going into the merits or the contentions of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation preferred by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
