PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioners representation dated 09.02.2024, in the light of the order passed in W.P.(MD)No.11817 of 2021, dated 05.10.2021.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Driver Mechanic of the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department, working in the Thermal Power Station, Tuticorin District, seeking a mandamus as against the first and second respondent herein to consider his representation, dated 09.02.2024, for transferring him to Gangaikondan Fire Station. 2.Previously, the petitioner has filed W.P.(MD)No.11817 of 2021, seeking to quash the transfer order from Thoothukudi Thermal Power Station to Sathankulam Fire and Rescue Station and the said writ petition was disposed of with liberty to the writ petitioner to approach the authorities seeking transfer to Tirunelveli Region.

3.Pursuant to the said direction, the petitioner has given a representation on 09.02.2024. Since the said representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
