PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to waive the payment of lease amount for the lockdown period from 25.03.2020 to 31.09.2020 in respect of leased out pay and use Toilet situated at Eastern Side of V.O.C New Bus Stand premises, Palani, 1/4

Dindigul District, and refund the waiver amount to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court by considering petitioner's representation dated 22.03.2021.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Municipality to waive the lease amount for the lock-down period between 25.03.2020 and 31.09.2020 by considering the representation made by the petitioner on 22.03.2021.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Municipality submitted that the representation made by the petitioner was considered in line with G.O.(D).No.337 Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department, dated 16.06.2023 and the amount has also been determined.

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondent Municipality to convey the decision taken by the respondent Municipality to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above terms. No costs.
