O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order of the third respondent in C.No.44/D1PS/2018 dated 19.04.2018 and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct public meeting on 01.05.2018 at about 6 pm https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to 10 pm near Malligai Mahal, Aranmanai street, Vadakarai, Periyakulam Town, Theni District.
2.According to the petitioner, earlier, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents, seeking permission to to conduct public meeting on 01.05.2018 near Malligai Mahal, Aranmanai street, Vadakarai, Periyakulam Town, Theni District and the same was rejected by the proceedings of the third respondent dated 19.04.2018. Challenging the same, this writ petition has been filed.
3.The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the permission sought by the petitioner has been rejected on the ground that already there is a clash between two groups and the same will create law and order problem. If the petitioner seeks an alternative place to conduct meeting, the same shall be considered by the respondents.
4.Recording the aforesaid submission, it is open to the petitioner to make a fresh application before the Deputy Superintendant of Police, Periyakulam, Theni District, seeking permission to conduct public meeting on 01.05.2018. If any such application is received, the Deputy Superintendant of Police, Theni is directed to consider the same by providing any suitable place to conduct public meeting, preferably at Theni. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
