Board (Maintenance Division), : Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to construct the check dam in between Vellakampatti Thurai Village and Panayampalayam Thurai Village and adjacent to Vallakampatti Village situated at Aravakuruchi Taluk, Karur District Instead of constructing check dam in Padathanaikenpatti of Nagampalli Village at Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District very near to existing check dam situated at Venjamangudalur Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2020 by providing adequate opportunity of hearing to our Village people.

This Public Interest Litigation has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to construct a check dam in pursuant to the request made in writing dated 10.07.2020. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the aforesaid request is directed to be considered.
3. Taking note of the above, we direct the respondent No.3 to consider the said request made by the petitioner dated 10.07.2020 and pass orders on the same within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
