Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner has filed an application under Section 26 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act, 1959 for disqualifying the incumbent trustee of the temple.

3. It is a statutory application. Therefore, the respondent is bound to number the same and dispose it of in accordance with law.

4. Therefore, the respondent is directed to number the said petition and dispose it of on merits, after putting the interested persons on notice. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter.
