This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct "demonstration"

near Cheranmahadevi Bus Stand, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District on 23.06.2018 at 11.00 a.m., to 01.00 p.m., by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner has made a request for conducting demonstration near Cheranmahadevi Bus Stand, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District on 23.06.2018 before the second respondent. the present writ petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that on receipt of the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2018, summon has been sent to the petitioner to appear before the authority concerned for enquiry and after the completion of enquiry, necessary order will be passed. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2018 on merits and in accordance with law on or before 22.06.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
