Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to allow the petitioner's vehicle (Mini Bus) Registration No.TCT 7454 to ply between Anna Bus Stand to Kalmedu Nagar, Madurai as per the permit, based upon the representation dated 18.03.2019 and act upon the same within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondent to allow the petitioners' vehicle which is a mini bus bearing Registration No. TCT 7454 to ply between Anna Bus Stand to Kalmedu Nagar, Madurai as per his permit. He has, in fact, filed a representation dated 18.03.2019 along identical lines as the prayer in this writ petition before the respondent, which is still pending.

2.Mr.M.Jegadeesh Pandian, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that it would suffice that the respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representation, hear him and pass orders thereupon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3.Mr.A.Thiyagarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent is unable to confirm receipt of the aforesaid representation, despite several opportunities having been granted for him to obtain instructions in this regard. However, he also states that he does not have any objection for grant of the prayer as made aforesaid.

4.Thus, I allow this Writ Petition. The petitioner is permitted to file one more copy of representation dated 18.03.2019, within a period of two [2] weeks from today before the respondent. Upon receipt of the same, the respondent will issue notice to the petitioner, hear him and pass orders on his representation within a period of six [6] weeks from the date of conclusion of personal hearing. No costs.
