ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks reissuance of passport. The petitioner is involved in criminal cases and that is why his application was not being processed. That led to filing of this writ petition. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent submitted that the case against the petitioner is pending at the FIR stage. It is also seen that they are political in nature.

4.I am therefore of the view that the petitioner's case deserves to be allowed. The first respondent is directed to process the petitioner's application and reissue passport to the petitioner subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities.

5.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
