ORDER

Invoking the provisions of Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have approached this Court with this Civil Revision Petition, seeking a direction to the learned District Munsif, Thanjavur to dispose of O.S.No.355 of 2002 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a time, which may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.P.Sesubalan Raja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and perused the averments of the grounds of the Civil Revision Petition.

3. It appears that the revision petitioners herein are the defendants in a suit filed by the respondent/plaintiff in O.S.No.355 of 2002 and the same has been pending from the year 2011 in part-heard stage and therefore, the petitioners being the defendants have approached this Court by way of this Civil Revision Petition.

4. Having been taken into consideration of the related facts and circumstances, this Court is of view that in the interest of Justice it may be expedient to issue a direction to the trial Court, as sought for by the petitioner. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed. The learned District Munsif, Thanjavur is hereby directed to dispose the suit in O.S.No.355 of 2002, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without loss of further time.
