Prayer: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders to regularize the service of the petitioners in the light of the letter (Nilai) No.4/E5/2013 dated 10/10/2013 issued by the 1st respondent and the permission proposal letter Na.Ka.No.9232/2015/Ka5 dated 10/12/2015 submitted by the 3rd respondent with all consequential service benefits.

COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioners in the light of the letter (Nilai) No.4/E5/2013 dated 10.10.2013 issued by the first respondent and the proposal in Na.Ka.No.9232/2015/Ka5 dated 10.12.2015 submitted by the third respondent, with all consequential service benefits.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.The case of the petitioners is that they were appointed as Office Assistants in the office of the Commissioner, Thirupananthal Panchayat Union, Thanjavur District. According to the petitioners, they made a representation dated 21.12.2018 to the first respondent, seeking regularization of their service, in the light of the letter sent by the first respondent dated 10.10.2013 and also in the light of the proposal dated 10.12.2015 submitted by the third respondent. However, no action has been taken on the petitioners' representation till date. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court seeking the aforementioned relief. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioners' representation would be considered on merits and appropriate orders be passed by the respondents.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 21.12.2018, seeking regularization of service and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

6.The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
