Prayer in W.P.(MD)No.5946 of 2020: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and the petitioner's family members life and limb on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 16.03.2020 and 19.03.2020.

For Petitioner : No Appearance (in both W.Ps.) For Respondents : Mr.A.Thiruvadikumar (in both W.Ps.) Additional Public Prosecutor COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions are filed seeking for police protection on the basis of the petitioners' representations dated 16.03.2020 and 19.03.2020.

2.When these matters were posted for hearing on 09.02.2022, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, the same were directed to be posted today (15.02.2022). Today also, there is no representation.

W.P.(MD)Nos.5946 and 5948 of 2020 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents in both Writ Petitions, on instructions, would submit that the husbands of the petitioners are facing trial in Crime No.147 of 2020 on the file of Uthamapalayam Police Station for the offence punishable under Section 302 of IPC.

4.In such view of the matter, this Court is of the considered view that no such blanket directions can be granted. Further, the petitioner is not interested in arguing the case. Therefore, these Writ Petitions stand dismissed. No costs.
